REVIEW: Vivobarefoot Primus Trail Knit FG

I got these Vivos from a friend and I really like them! I have a medium volume foot type and these shoes were a pretty good fit. I’m typically a womens 6.5 or 7 and these shoes are size EU37.

They were just what I needed because I needed a new pair of sturdy, everyday barefoot shoes. Although I do like the color and the design, the front of the shoe squishes my toes. My toes are curious and they need to explore side to side as well as up and down, so this is disappointing.

Another thing is that they are not very flexible. If I try to roll them up, the front part folds up, but the rest of the shoe only bends a little. When I wear them, it kind of feels like a board under my foot. Taking the insole out helped a little, although sadly, these are just too clunky for jogging and running.

On the other hand, they are very durable. I have had them for maybe a year or so, and they still look brand new! My mom has sprayed them with OxiClean and put them through the wash and they come out perfectly clean.

The only flaw I can find is a little itty bitty tuft of string coming out of the side (I call it Penelope.)

Here are the pros and cons:

PROS:

• Good design and color!

• Very durable.

• Good fit for medium volume.

• New BFF! (Penelope)

CONS:

• Squishes my toes. (Narrow toe box.)

• Stiff.

• Too clunky for running. :(

Despite the cons, I like to slip on these shoes all the time for taking the dog out or going to the park. They are nice to have around considering the only other pair of everyday shoes I have are toe shoes... 😂 They are great for semi-formal things and regular activities that require footwear.

I would recommend them if you have smaller feet or would just like something to slap on your feet to go to the store or wherever.
